Rich Dumbcon aka Rich Lowry (that is what the Republican calls itself), who makes sharpie scribbles on the Republican propaganda known “The National Review” has just published a “once upon a time” fairy story for the even more idiotic readers of the New York Post. Republican idiots who need their free dumbs with added soft porn and gossip.
The Republican gave its idiot ponderings the title “Bernie Sanders would be the most ‘godless’ president since Jefferson”.
The Republican started
Once upon a time, Bernie Sanders would have had another political vulnerability besides his socialism — namely, his atheism.
Once upon a time Republicans had some principles and beliefs.
As he admits Bernie Sanders does not claim to be atheist, unlike Trump, who is obviously atheist bilking Christian fundamentalists. So much so that his cult followers literally believe he was “sent by God” to be President.
The Republican vomits up
It used to be expected that serious presidential candidates would have religious faith and discuss it, in keeping with the religious coloration of the country they sought to govern
Those looking for what is acceptable as acceptable discussion of religious faith can look to this great example of Trump’s faith.
Yeah, that’s her. With the gold. I better use some Tic Tacs just in case I start kissing her. You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful - I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait.
And when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything
Grab them by the p****. You can do anything.
Divine inspiration indeed. You can see why radical republicans, these fake Christians of fake faith believe Trump is “The King of Israel”.
Dick Lowry then happenstances upon something that is true. (Yes a Republican accidentally made a truth).
There is no rule that occupants of the White House have to be believers, or Thomas Jefferson never would have been president. But presidential religiosity has advantages. Bill Clinton used it to signal to otherwise politically hostile parts of the country that he understood their values. It fortified George W. Bush under incredible pressure during the war on terror. Barack Obama tapped the rhetorical power of church oratory.
Trump of course uses Christianity to divide.
Every single one of those fraudsters and crooks, who would slam the door on the poor, worship Trump as a false idol. The so called great Christian who has probably paid for untold numbers of abortions. Trump spreads his fake belief in another deity faster than he spreads STDs.
In contrast Lowry says Bernie’s lack of “religiosity” undermines American exceptionalism.
What undermines America is a fake belief in exceptionalism when the whole World is watching Trump fail at controlling coronavirus in the US.
Added to his policy of undermining the affordable care act now putting the risk of hundreds of thousands at risk. Testing kits costing thousands of dollars. Red states forcing work requirements on low or zero income families. That’s your food packing and your stores that they are being forced to work on. That’s your wait staff being forced to come in. That’s hard working low income Americans forced to work not just because they fear being fired but they also fear cancelled medicaid. Well done red states for those work requirements.
We are all looking forward to a President who knows understands enough to believe in the importance of experts and scientists. Every single one of the Democratic candidates knows the World is not going to pray away coronavirus. Every single one of those candidates is therefore infinitely better than Trump. As the great “Republican intelectual” Corey Lewandowski said “ We’re electing a leader, not a sunday school teacher”
